On this tour we drive from Salzburg over the Durrnberg mountain pass, with its Miner's Chapel, crossing the German border to reach Obersalzberg. From here a specially constructed bus drives you up the steep mountain road to a parking area. Then you walk a short distance through a tunnel into the mountain to the elaborate elevator which takes you up the Eagle's Nest, formerly a meeting place for Hitler and his diplomatic guests. You will also have the opportunity to stroll around the castle area. We then pass by the impressive House of Parliament and Heroes Square. Before the drive back to Vienna, there will be some free time for shopping.
